Base 25 - Supporting Young People in Shaping their lives


Base 25 Core offer

Base 25's core offer is key working appointments between 2 pm and 3 pm and an open access provision between 3 pm and 5 pm where workshops and activities can also take place.

Overall aim
 

To improve the access of advice and support for young people aged 11 – 25 in Wolverhampton 

Specific aims
  • To improve the early identification of young people in need or at risk 
  • To ensure that young people have access to relevant support 
  • To increase confidence, self esteem and emotional resilience of young people 
  • To improve young people’s ability to make informed decisions  


Areas of activity

  • Provide open access drop in service for young people
  • Provide help line and text service 
  • Provide opportunities for young people to set goals and explore choices 
  • Work in partnership with relevant organisations across the city 
  • Involve young people in shaping the services provided by Base 25 
  • To provide workshops and activities for young people on topics relevant to them
  • Provide young people with an assessment of need with ongoing follow up support
  • Signpost young people to other appropriate specialist services
